RDR - RIP Indemnity commission...

Much has been written by journalists about FS08/06 - the feedback statement about the Retail Distribution Review.

One point that most articles have overlooked is the fact that from 2012 Product Providers will be prohibited from Factoring commission payments on investment and pensions products.

Factoring is FSA speak for Indemnity commission.

Those Firms relying upon Indemnity Commission will need to review their business model.
