FOS confirms case fee increase

For the year starting April 2013 the Financial Ombudsman Service will be charging ?550 per case. For cases involving Payment Protection Insurance a supplementary case fee of ?350 will be added.

The number of "free" cases - where neither the case fee nor the PPI supplementary case fee are payable will rise from three to twenty-five p.a.
